Dr. Susan Lim is, in addition to being a well-known surgeon in Asia, a member of the Global Advisory Council of the International Society for Stem Cell Research 2011. Dr. Susan Lim works out of Singapore and specifically the Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital—two of the premier hospitals. Dr. Susan Lim is well known across Asia because she was the first person on that continent to successfully perform a liver transplant on a patient. This has made her quite popular in Singapore, where she was born and raised.

Dr. Susan Lim was also educated in Singapore up until medical school. She received her primary school education at the Singapore Chinese Girls’ School. She later attended school at The Raffles Institution in Singapore too. For medical school, Dr. Susan Lim went to Monash University in Australia. She was able to attend Monash University thanks to a scholarship she received in 1974 under the Colombo Plan.

Dr. Susan Lim founded a company called Stem Cell Technology in 2003. This company specialized in bio-technologies. 2004 saw Dr. Lim join the staff at Trinity College at the University of Melbourne in Australia as a Fellow. Dr. Lim is now a well known surgeon who has a steady head and plenty of education and experience. Her patients can rest easy knowing that they are absolutely being taken care of.
